Introducing the Brand New Camerababy Elite Basketball Team

(Long Beach, CA – September 25, 2011) As the series of successful tryout camps come to a close, Camerababy Elite Basketball Team begins the process of reviewing and coordinating with the selection of players. After taking a myriad of factors into consideration, Camerabay Elite has selected the top thirteen players out of more than fifty from the tryout camps to participate in the  upcoming training camp, and the best ten players will represent Camerababy Elite Basketball Team to go on the Asian Tour.

Leading the team is the Head Coach, Ray Johnson. Coach Johnson has been dedicated in training great basketball talents both in El Camino High School and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He has also accumulated a wealth of experiences in leading San Diego Surf and San Diego Wildcats, both of which are ABA teams.

“We have a lot of great talents showed up at our tryout camps,” said Coach Johnson. “So the players we chose to be a part of our team are the players who can really play and have great potentials to be successful playing overseas.”

Camerababy Elite has selected Jamaal Smith and Trayvon Lathan to play point guards. Both NCAA and minor league veterans, they made an impression on Camerababy Elite since the first tryout. Smith was impressive in his ball handling and long range shooting while Lathan is the most versatile player in the series of tryouts. And at 6'7”, Lathan certainly makes an impressive point guard.

Anthony Davis and Devin Ginty both make good candidates for shooting guard. Davis is a seasoned basketball veteran, having played professional basketball in US, Europe and Middle East. Ginty is a young talent who shows much promise that just graduated from University of San Diego.

In the position of small forward, there are Juan Pattillo, Jason Jackson, Jason Warren and Nate Daniels. Pattillo and Jackson have both displayed great basketball talents in their college years and now they are ready to play professional basketball. Warren and Daniels both play professional basketball in US and Europe. They are both smart and experienced forwards.

The positions of power forward go to Robert Curtis and Travis Taylor. At 6'9”, both Curtis and Taylor possess the physique that makes excellent power forwards. Camerababy Elite is impressed with Curtis's great coordination and Taylor's high basketball IQ.

Finally, the centers are Donald Jones, John Clifford and Ronald Allen. All of these three professional basketball veterans are excellent in their command of the court. They are definitely valued additions to the team.

As the selection of players comes to a close, the brand new Camerababy Elite Basketball Team is due to start training for the upcoming Asian tour. “I'm really pleased with the result of the tryouts. We've got so many great talents here and they make a great team. I think the Asian tour would be a great opportunity for the team to perform,” Coach Johnson expresses his confidence about the successful debut of Camerababy Elite Basketball Team in the Hualien Probation Cup in Taiwan.
