A Very Scenic Exit for Camerababy Elite’s Asian Tour
“Our players had to fight with the jet lag and play 7 games in 9 days. That was certainly a very tough schedule,” said the President, Michael Hsu. “Even though we didn’t win the championship last night, I still want to thank to all the efforts they’d put and reward them with something nice.” To start the day off, the bus took the team winding through the mountain paths to one of the most famous sightseeing spot, Taroko National Park. The Taroko Gorge is known for producing marble and jade, and of course, its magnificent view. The team hiked through a small path winding through the rocky part of the gorge to the Eternal Spring Shrine, a classical Chinese structure perched on the jade-green cliff that plunged into a rapid. The shrine sits on top of Eternal Spring, a waterfall that never dries up and which gives the shrine its name. After the short hike, the team continued the trip up the scenic Su-Hua Highway which zips through Taiwan's eastern coastal cliff. Evergreen slopes on one side and blue Pacific Ocean on the other, the highway is one of the most beautiful in Asia. The team stopped over for lunch in Su-Ao, a coastal town known for its fresh seafood, before heading over to Jiaosi, the hot spring capital of Taiwan, where the ETE has booked hot spring spa and buffet dinner for the team at the five-star Evergreen Resort Hotel to unwind before catching the flight home. The one-day trip was a very unique first-time experience for the team and some of them were saying that they should come back for a longer tour in the future. When asked what was the best thing about the trip to Taiwan, most of them commented on the very friendly and supportive Taiwanese fans which resulted in endless autograph and photo sessions at the HPB Tournament. “The fans were crazy awesome,” Davis summed it up for the team. “The whole experience of the team coming together and playing was pretty awesome too,” Ginty added. “For me it's pretty fun to try out the Taiwanese food,” Jackson commented, followed by a round of laughter from the other guys. Thus and so concluded the 2011 Asian Tour for Camerababy Elite Basketball Team. ETE would like to thank the organizers of HPB for hosting this event, and thank the sponsor Camerababy for generously sponsoring the tour. To the fans of Camerababy Elite Basketball Team in Taiwan, thank you for the passion and support, and many thanks to every member of the Camerababy Elite Basketball Team for being on this trip with ETE. We hope that the wonderful conclusion of this trip marks the beginning for another.
