Oceanside, CA – August 27, 2011
Following the success of the first Camerababy Elite Basketball Team Tryout Camp in Anaheim the previous week, Camerababy Elite held a second tryout at El Camino High School in Oceanside this Saturday. The overwhelming response from excellent players all over the country made it necessary to hold a second tryout camp. “The response we receive exceeds our initial expectation. We need to put in more time in the selection process. But it's something we're willing to do to select the best players for our team,” Elite Talent Exchange President, Michael Hsu, expressed his optimism.
A total of fourteen players were grouped into two teams to play a full basketball game. They were again regrouped at the last quarter. The quality of the players in this tryout was outstanding. Some interesting observations were made.
Marquis Navarre, the 5'11'' point guard, with his lightning speed and high level of energy, was proving himself to be a great floor leader. His game was rivalled by Will Bynum, the 6'3'' shooting guard who was the teammate of Navarre in their college years. The youngest and tallest player out there was Robert Curtis, who held up the game well for his team with his superior post moves and his soft shooting touch. Glen Dandridge and Nate Daniels, both were NAIA All-American 1st Team players, partnered up with each other well and showed great scoring abilities. “This offensive combo would certainly kill any team”, said Ray Johnson, Head Coach of Camerababy Elite.
Overall, this tryout features a good variety of great players. With such a good selection of basketball talents available, ETE feel confident about their Asian Tour ahead. The result of the tryout will be announced to the players in the next two weeks and training will begin promptly afterwards.
